Glossary
The words, without the sales pitch.
Every term here comes up in real projects. Definitions are written for the person paying for the system, not the person building it.
- AI agentAn AI agent is a software worker that is given a goal, decides for itself which steps to take, and uses tools like your CRM, calendar or email to complete the task without a person driving each step.
- AI auditAn AI audit is a structured review of how a business actually works — where hours, errors and delays accumulate — that ends in a prioritised list of what to automate first, what to fix manually, and what to leave alone.
- AI consultantAn AI consultant is someone you pay for judgement rather than delivery — to work out where AI would actually pay in your business, in what order, and what to leave alone — so the output is a decision you can act on rather than a system you now have to maintain.
- large language modelA large language model is a system trained on very large amounts of text to predict what words should come next, which lets it write, summarise, classify and reason over language — but it knows nothing specific about your business unless you give it that information.
- lead qualificationLead qualification is deciding which enquiries are worth your sales team's time and which are not, using criteria agreed in advance rather than whoever happens to pick up the phone.
